It’s moments like these that remind us just how lucky we are. 🦁🐘
On one side, a pride of lions.
On the other, a beautiful family of elephants.
Two worlds coming together, nature following its own rhythm, and us simply being there to witness it.
Nature is truly wonderful. 🤍

For us, it looks brutal. For this lion cub, it’s simply dinner.

After the pride successfully brought down a buffalo, the cubs slowly moved in to explore the meal.

And this little one decided the buffalo’s nose was the perfect place to start.

Biting, pulling and testing everything with those tiny teeth, it was another reminder that even the cutest animals in the African bush are born into a world where survival starts early.

One day, this cub will have to hunt for itself.

For now… mom still brings dinner home.

LION 🦁 VS CROCODILE 🐊

Two mothers protecting their cubs from crocodiles. 🦁🐊❤️

Earlier that day, these two lionesses had managed to bring down a buffalo.

When we returned later that evening, the entire scene had changed.

The cubs had joined their mothers at the carcass… but they weren’t alone.

Crocodiles had started coming out of the water and moving onto land, slowly closing the distance to the buffalo.

They wanted the kill.

But standing between them and the carcass were two lionesses with their cubs right beside them.

The tension was unbelievable.

Every time the crocodiles moved closer, the lionesses became more alert, positioning themselves between the danger and their young.

For a few moments, it felt like this wasn’t even about the buffalo anymore.

It was about the cubs.

The crocodiles wanted the meal.

The mothers were making sure nobody got too close to their babies.

And watching two of Africa’s most powerful predators face each other from just metres away was something we will never forget.

A mother’s instinct to protect her young is one of the most powerful things in nature. 🦁❤️

Would you have expected crocodiles to come this far onto land to challenge lions for a kill? 😳
