Incredible sighting, from seeing this leopard from afar, across a dam, with hippo's and crocodiles lying on the shores. The leopard had an attempt to catch a crocodile, but failed. We then rounded around the dam, and after 15 minutes of patience and hoping, we were rewarded with 20 minutes with this young leopard.
Incredible!!

Never imagined to capture the moment of take off. Brown snake eagle. Quite unreal how they swallow small snakes, whole.

Considering how rare it is to see Cheetah's in the wild, this was an extra special moment, seeing a female with her 4 cubs. Just to get this photo was amazing. It is incredible that Cheetah cubs have long silvery hairs on their backs to mimic honey badgers as an adaptation. Because NO ONE messes with a honey badger!😄

Don't mess with the king.
Leopards are rated to be the most powerful cats on earth, body/weight ratio and the fact that they can haul prey up into a tree, that exceeds their own weight. I have seen, twice, giraffe calves taken up into a tree, and even a crocodile, and a waterbuck. I've seen a leopard catch a bird in flight (Red-crested korhaan), catch a catfish at a waterhole, and even eating insects around a lamp light.
Every organism has their role to play in nature, even us.
This leopard was marking his territory along the Sand river in Kruger Park.

Giraffe tongues can measure over 50 centimetres long. Prehensile and adapted to feed on their primary tree, the Knobthorn. But feeding on a diverse range of trees, and especially the THORNY Acacia family of trees (now known as Vachellia and Senegalia), to the extent that they have no veins in their gums, so that thorn pricks will not cause bleeding.

Waterbuck have adapted to living in areas with permanent water, as they are prone to dehydration. Their hair is hollow, aiding in floatation in deep water. What an amazing animal!
