Meet Steff McWilliam: MalaMala field guide, wildlife conservationist, and the sort of person who’s raised two Cape clawless otters, worked with pangolins in Vietnam, and can pull off a surprisingly convincing baby rhino impression.

In this bite-sized Sundowner Session, recorded on a game drive beside the Sand River, Steff takes us back to one of his most unforgettable sightings: three klipspringers, 21 wild dogs, and one perfectly placed rocky ledge.

Spending an hour watching a rhino eat grass? Obviously. Taking 86 photos of it doing exactly the same thing? Of course. Staying for “just one more minute” when everyone knows that means another 35? Completely reasonable.
