Our story 📜
In 2000, Steve landed in Kenya to spend his gap year teaching and coaching rugby. A first safari followed, as did exploring everything this beautiful continent had to offer, Mount Kilimanjaro, the Indian Ocean, the list goes on. Steve was hooked.
Desperate to return and learn more, Steve embarked on a guiding course in 2002 with Eco-training, led by Head guide .graham
The pair instantly struck up a bond with Steve spending every waking hour learning from Graham while they camped out in the South African bush.
The friends often discussed frustrations with the way safaris were run. Knowing there must be a better way, spending years talking, dreaming and designing how their trips could operate.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Our safaris only go where animals are living a truly wild life. No ticklists, no food to tempt them near. No fences to keep them in. No collars to see where they've gone. We listen to sounds through the night to guide the following day’s adventure. We look for tracks on the dust roads, we observe the birds and monkeys and interpret what they're trying to tell us.
We go slower. We go smaller. We go quieter. We get closer.
