Poorts and Passes cycle tour is a cycle tour from George to Patensie. Taking scenic back roads, this moderately challenging cycle tour will take you over two iconic passes; Montague Pass and Swartberg, and through some of the country’s most stunning scenic landscapes of the Karoo and Baviaanskloof. Ideally this trip is suited to self-sufficient, experienced cyclists with a sense of adventure and a

moderate level of fitness. Unlike many other stage races, we wish to keep this tour small and personal with a maximum group size of 1 people. Staying in comfortable guest houses, B&Bs and lodges, you will be well looked after and the relaxed pace will ensure that you will have the time to soak up the scenery, chat to the locals and enjoy the delicious local cuisine.

In 2016, the first group of 8 clients piloted the first official cycle tour of the Baviaans and Karoo. It was a blissful 10 days spent in superbly scenic part of the world. Quirky company, hearty meals, comfortable characterful accommodation and much banter made it a trip to remember. This year we look forward to another great 12 day tour: 21 October - 1st November, 2017 . In keeping with the personal touch of this customised tour, numbers are limited to 10 people, so book soon for a trip of a life time.
