🌅 Day 2 in the wild — and Kruger was already wide awake.
We started the morning beneath a spectacular African sunrise, with elephants in abundance and one incredible sighting after another before breakfast. 🐘✨
But after breakfast, our guides reminded us that some of Kruger’s greatest wonders aren’t always the ones that make the headlines. 🌿🔍
🌾 African spear grass — a tough, razor-sharp grass adapted to thrive in the African bush, providing food and shelter for countless creatures while teaching us to look closely at the landscape.
🌸 Leopard lily — a striking indigenous plant whose beautiful flowers add a delicate touch of colour to the bush, often hiding in plain sight.
🪰 Gall midge — a tiny insect whose larvae can trigger unusual growths, or galls, on plants, creating a fascinating little ecosystem within the bush itself.
After lunch, we headed out again as the golden afternoon softened into sunset. 🌅 Our evening drive brought owls, nocturnal creatures and the first signs of the bush coming alive after dark. 🦉🌙
Then back to camp for a well-earned, hearty supper — full hearts, full plates, and another unforgettable day in Kruger. ❤️
Because in the African bush, the bigger the wonder isn’t always the better sighting… sometimes, you just have to look a little closer. ✨
