Widasla We Buy and Sell Litho Printing machines Owner and head engineer Dou Fourie started Widasla Technologies in 2005 at the tender age of 24 years old.

As an energetic, young and driven engineer Dou was dettermined to make a success of his new venture. Starting of as purely a service based engineering company Widasla Technologies soon grew from strength to strength. Widasla Technologies first customer base was predominantly linked to smaller print shops in the Pretoria area due to Dou’s vast experience on the Heidelberg SM 74’s. Widasla 1st big b

reakthrough in the South African market came with the installation of the first Heidelberg SM 74-8 in South Africa at CPD in Pretoria in earley 2006. At the beginning of 2007 Widasla did its biggest factory move to date. Moving the whole of Capture Press into the then Powerhouse of print in Pretoria Durant & Viljoen. The factory move consisted of 1 x SM 75-5L 2006,SM52-5L 200y, 3xPolar Guillotine’s, 3xHeidelberg Cylinders and 2xHD Plattens. This was all moved and installed and all in full production in just 11 days. This changed the future for this small Engineering company. After this Widasla got many more first for the African continent. Completely rebuilding and installing the very first 2 x Heidelberg SM 102-10 CP2000 machines with Cutstar reel sheeters at Shereno Printers in Boksburg in 2007 and 2008 respectively was just the start. Installing the 3rd Heidelberg SM 102-10 col on the African continent at Mailtronic in JHB in 2009 made Widasla Technologies one of the biggest players in the Heidelberg long perfector market today. To put the cherry on the cake Widasla Technologies also completely rebuild and installed the only Heidelberg SM 102-12 col to hit the African shore line in 2012 at Shereno printers in Boksburg. This cemented Widasla Technologies as one of South Africa ‘s premier Printers Engineering Company’s. At that stage Dou decided that the company should grow even further and start importing and exporting Printing presses. Teaming up with on of the world’s largest 2nd hand dealers in the form of BBR Graphics in th UK made all the difference. Widasla made it’s 1st breakthrough in the selling market by selling Mailtronic its 1st 2x Heidelberg M600 web presses and this was only the beginning of big things to come. Since 2013 Widasla has bought and exported in excess of 20 machines in the South African market and has sold and installed 5 presses into the difficult and struggling South African market. What a leke weekend. Doing what we do best at Widasla. Monster Machine. Myself and Jaco and the rest of the team positioned our 500mm plinths on Friday. Rigged in our newest monster rebuild machine on Saturday, which Jaco will start installing on Monday. Our stand at Drupa is almost completely build and Im sitting at the airport excited like a little boy on my way to Drupa to represent South Africa for the 1st time ever as an exhibitor at the largest print show in the world. Live cant get any better. For the love of print and striving to be the best in the world.

A special thanks and shout out to my awesome friend and great client Michael Templer from Templer Industries. He designed and printed me this aswsome 64 page Installation and take out guide on Wednesday and delivered it to me on Friday afternoon. It is absolutely amazing how many machines we have done in such a sort time. 64 of which i can find pictures. 121 on the books in less than 20 years. WOW, thats an average of 6 machines a year. Thank you so much for making our trip to Drupa very special. And a big thanks for helping me in so little time. You are amazing. So if you guys are looking for 1 amazing printer with great quality give Michael at Templer Industries a shout.

What a day at Widasla. Printing our Company Profile for Drupa on this monster machine we recently fully refurbished for Neon Printers. The Heidelberg CD LY 7 YL LX3 UV/IR did what it was designed for. Using the entire machine to do 1 pass Printing. Silver coating on the 1st coater CMYK UV inks on unit 1-4 a spot metalic blue on unit 5, Soft Touch varnish unit 6, Matt varnish unit 7 and Spot UV on the last coater. All of this at high speed. What an amazing achievement for Neon. A special thanks to Angelique Louw from Angies creations for the absolute amazing design and to Basheer Hafajee from Neon Printers for printing this amazing art work for us. Also a big shout out to the team at Neon Printers Wayne, Clayton, Yusuf and Andre thank you guys for the amazing job you guys did.

What an amazing day for Widasla, gracing the cover of The Nex Gapp Magazine for the 4th time in 3 years. Im so blessed to be the CEO of this amazing company and leading the greatest group of people. A special shout out and a big thanks to every member of our team that made this big achievement possible. We all started our journey together as college's and now we are 1 big family. The Widasla family will grow from strength to strength, because we love what we do, and we do it with great friends. A special shout out to my amazing wife Jessica Fourie for being my support and strength. I couldn't do it without you.
