On Sunday 3 May Township and Village had the pleasure of welcoming an international family for a truly memorable day filled with nature, culture, wine and warm local hospitality.

Their experience began with a scenic Wine Walk through the beautiful Ida’s Valley Nature Reserve, surrounded by the breathtaking Simonsberg mountains. Along the route guests enjoyed a refreshing glass of wine and a light snack before ending the walk at the stunning Alluvia Wine Estate for a relaxing wine tasting experience.
The journey continued into the Dwarsrivier valley where guests were welcomed into the charming community of Kylemore for an authentic cultural Home Dine experience. Sharing a home cooked meal with our beloved host in Kylemore created meaningful connection, storytelling and unforgettable memories around the table.

From spectacular natural scenery to heartfelt community hospitality, the day was a beautiful celebration of culture and the unique experiences our region has to offer.

Connect with us, we tailor make cultural experiences and build memories that last a lifetime.”

There’s something powerful about learning beyond the classroom. 🤍

Recently, Stellenbosch University Tygerberg students joined us for a Kayamandi on Foot experience, walking through the streets, stories and history of one of the communities that forms such an important part of Stellenbosch.

From meaningful conversations with locals to ending the experience around the table at Nocawe’s home dining experience, the day was a reminder of how important it is for our own students to connect with the people, culture and history that live just beyond campus.

Connection, understanding and shared stories remain at the heart of what we do. ✨

Township and Village recently welcomed the Stellenbosch University Business School for a meaningful Kayamandi experience 🌍✨

The journey began around the dinner table with a delicious interactive cultural meal, where home-cooked food, storytelling, culture and connection were shared together. Guests then explored Kayamandi on foot, meeting locals and learning more about the rich history of the second oldest township in South Africa.

Experiences that bring people together, one story at a time 🤎

Kayamandi, known as the second oldest township in South Africa, holds stories that go far beyond the classroom. Our On Foot Experience invites schools and educators to step into a space where history, culture, and community come alive through real conversations and meaningful encounters.

Led by a local guide and starting at Amazink, learners journey through homes, schools, and local businesses—gaining a deeper understanding of the past while connecting it to the present. It’s an opportunity for teachers to enrich their lessons with immersive, real-world insight that truly resonates.

After the walk, groups can gather over a hearty meal at Amazink and enjoy a fun, interactive drumming session—bringing everyone together through rhythm, storytelling, and shared joy.

An experience that educates, connects, and inspires.

There’s something special about gathering the women we love around a table filled with warmth, sweet treats, and meaningful conversation.

Recently, a beautiful group of friends chose Alenor’s High Tea Experience in the heart of Pniel to celebrate a birthday — sharing laughter, stories, and a truly intimate afternoon in Alenor’s welcoming home.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, this is your gentle reminder to celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who pour so much love into our lives. 🌸

Book a memorable High Tea Experience and create moments she’ll treasure forever.

Every place holds a story.

Social justice lives in the history of our towns—in the voices, the journeys, and the lessons that shape who we are today.

Whether you’re local or visiting, this is an invitation to learn, connect, and experience our stories with intention. ✨

There’s a different way to experience Stellenbosch — not just through its beauty, but through its history, its truths, and the stories being rewritten.

Step into the University Redress on Foot experience at Stellenbosch University, where the journey of transformation and decolonisation comes to life through the campus itself.

This walking tour invites you to explore the visual redress project — an ongoing effort to centre African narratives and create a more inclusive, representative space. From the powerful storytelling of Die Vlakte, to symbolic spaces like the JS Gericke Library and Rooi Plein, each stop offers insight into what it truly means to “set things right.”

Whether you’re a researcher, a history enthusiast, or someone calling Stellenbosch home, this is an opportunity to see the town through a deeper, more intentional lens.

Come walk the story of change.
