⚠️ALERT: TEMPORARY POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION IN LARGE PARTS OF KIMBERLEY SUBURBIA - SOUTHRIDGE SUBSTATION
The Electrical Department is responding to an outage emanating from the Southridge Substation and affecting Southridge, Monument Heights, New Park, Riviera, and other surrounding areas.
Action: The source of the fault to be identified and cleared from the system for restoration of supply.
The inconvenience is regretted.

An Electricity Outage has occurred affecting a number of residential areas including, but not limited to New Park, Monument Heights, Royldene, Carters Glen, Verwoerd Park, Beaconsfield, Klisserville and Albertynshof. Outage appears to emanate again from the an issue at Southridge and/or Cassandra Substations.
There seems to be an explosion at Herlear and South Ridge substations. Standby Team is on their way to locate the cause and effect the necessary repairs.
The Call Centre has supplied the following information regarding the power outage which is affecting various areas in and around the CBD especially those supplied with current from the Herlear and Southridge Substations. Electricians are currently at the two Substations to determine the reasons thereof.
Various homes especially those with conventional sourced electricity are most affected. Not all homes within a residential area are supplied from one source which is the reason why your neighbors may have electricity and homes next to them has none at this time.
