When in Knysna, you must do three things:

Sail on the Knysna lagoon, through the Knysna heads and out into the vast Indian ocean
Watch a magnificent sunset whilst sipping on chilled bubbly
Relax Interactive sailing, leisure and even some "extreme" sailing for the adventurous.

The Outeniqua Yacht is officially flying her brand-new sail, and what a transformation! Looking sleek, sharp, and ready to dance with the wind once again. 🌊✨

A massive thank you to Tony and Ziggy for all the assistance and to Ullman Sails for delivering an absolutely beautiful new sail. The Outeniqua is looking shipshape, sea-ready, and turning heads all over the waterfront.

Now all that’s left… is to catch the breeze and go make some waves with Captain Eastern 🌬️⛵

April in Knysna is stunning, but once you head out through the Heads, that sea breeze is real. We reached out to the crew for the ultimate "what to wear" guide:
The Golden Rule: No shoes on board! 🚫👟 Pop them in the shoe bag at the jetty.
Keep Toasty: Bring your favourite cosy socks to keep your toes warm on deck.
Layer Up: Wear a warm jacket or windbreaker. Even if it's sunny, it gets chilly on the water.
Sun Protection: Don't let the cool air fool you—the water reflects those rays, so bring sunblock and sunnies.

Sun, salt air, and total freedom. 🥂⛵️
We had the best time on the yacht this past weekend! After a stunning afternoon sail, we moored in the calm Lee of Featherbed Nature Reserve.
It didn’t take long for the youngsters to decide the water was calling—watching them dive in was pure joy. There’s really nothing like seeing the next generation find their sea legs! 💦⚓️

The Outeniqua yacht returns, unhurried as if it’s savouring the last stretch of the journey. Glasses clinking softly, bubbly in hand, snacks doing their rounds, and that easy laughter drifts across the water.

There’s no dramatic sunset, just a soft misty cloud hanging in the air with a crack of red slipping through… enough to remind you the day is winding down.
No rush. No fuss. Just that golden in-between moment.

Yesterday’s Knysna Springtide sunset sail had its own theatre on the water. The warm summer air met the cool ocean and created soft patches of mist drifting across the sea, like nature’s curtains hanging about.

After a very warm day, the cool touch of the ocean felt refreshing, while the familiar South Easterly breeze filled the sails.

Just another unforgettable evening out on the water with Skipper Eastern Hennies 🌊✨
