📚 BREAKING THE SKARREL | Book Launch & Author Talk

Join us at the Knysna Oyster Festival for the official launch of "*Breaking the Skarrel"* by community leader and author Rev Ralph Stander.

Raised by a single mother and working as a golf caddy from the age of nine, Ralph's journey is one of resilience, determination, and transformation. Today, he shares his powerful story of overcoming hardship and building a life of purpose.

💥 Recently, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde endorsed the book and will be writing the Foreword, saying:

*"I felt the same feelings reading your book as I did watching the new Desmond Tutu film. We have to tell our stories because we cannot forget what it was like in the past."*

*Breaking the Skarrel* is more than a memoir. It is a message of hope, empowerment, and mental emancipation for the next generation.

The Knysna Oyster Festival is turning up the family fun this winter, with a packed programme of activities designed to keep children, parents and grandparents entertained from morning to night.

Running from 3–12 July under the theme “A feast of family fun”, this year’s festival programme combines outdoor adventure, sport, food, markets, nature experiences and live entertainment across Knysna.
