A stunning African woodland bird, easily recognised by its purple crest, green head, red eye-ring and reddish breast.

🌿 Interesting facts:

🍇 Mainly eats fruit.

❤️ Its wings have brilliant red flight feathers that flash when it flies.

💚 Its green colour comes from a unique pigment called turacoverdin.

🌳 It spends most of its time in trees and dense woodland.

👫 Usually forms monogamous pairs, with both parents caring for the chicks.

🐣 Young chicks have a tiny claw on their wings, which helps them climb around the nest!

A beautiful splash of colour in the African bush—especially when those hidden red wings suddenly appear in flight! ❤️🪽

Outside on the patio is where you experience wildlife roaming freely around the house. Ons het van hierdie aanbod gebruik gemaak -- en wat 'n fees! Die huis en al die fasiliteite was 100% gereed vir ons! Die week het gevlieg. Ons kan nie glo dis alweer huistoe-gaan-tyd nie.

Dankie Jannette. Julle huis is pragtig en gerieflik en het aan al ons behoeftes voorsien. En die diere het ook hulle kant gebring -- daar was geen tekort aan besoekers nie: vlakvarke, rooibokke, koedoes, zebras, tarentale, njalas, kameelperde. Wat 'n fees!!
