African Fusion Travel

African Fusion Travel African Fusion Travel are specialists in arranging luxury and adventure holidays in Africa & the Indian Ocean Islands, we'll find your amazing destination!

At African Fusion Travel we don't use the words "luxury"or "exclusive" without having visited the camp, lodge or resort ourselves. Those 2 little words are quite possibly the most over utilized words when selling holiday packages. As African and Indian Ocean Island travel veterans, we are able to distinguish what is hot and what is not, by regular visits to the places that we propose to you. We've put together packages to what we believe are some of the best lodges and resorts in the African bush, the Indian Ocean Islands and now Thailand. Each one has been carefully checked and investigated by our intrepid agents, meaning that you can travel with complete peace of mind.

Madagascar still feels like one of travel’s best-kept secrets.

Wild landscapes, remote islands, incredible wildlife and stretches of coastline that feel far removed from the usual tourist trail. It’s the kind of destination that rewards travellers willing to look beyond the obvious.

Go for the beaches. Stay for the adventure. Come home wondering why more people aren’t talking about it.

Go here before Instagram finds it.

Planning a holiday for grandparents, parents, teenagers and younger children can sound like an impossible brief.

It doesn’t have to be.

The right destination gives everyone something to look forward to — whether that’s an all-inclusive Mauritius resort, a family safari in Kruger, an island escape in Nosy Be or a few unforgettable days together aboard a houseboat on Lake Kariba.

Multi-generational travel isn’t about filling every day with activities. It’s about choosing a place where different ages can travel comfortably, enjoy their own interests and still have plenty of time together.

Because years from now, nobody is going to remember who chose the destination.

They’ll remember the holiday they all took together.

Seven nights available and absolutely no desire to spend a huge chunk of them getting there?

You have some incredible options much closer to home.

🇲🇺 Mauritius for easy resort living, fantastic facilities and a holiday where everything can be taken care of.

🇹🇿 Zanzibar for beaches paired with culture, adventure and plenty to discover beyond the resort.

🇲🇬 Madagascar for something wilder, less predictable and far removed from the usual island holiday.

🇸🇨 Seychelles for spectacular scenery, beautiful beaches and that unmistakable Indian Ocean island feeling.

🇲🇿 Mozambique for barefoot escapes, warm waters and an easy transition into holiday mode.

You don’t always need to travel further to feel further away.

You have seven nights. Where are we sending you?

R100 000 to spend on an island holiday. Where is your money going?

In Mauritius, that budget can give you a well-rounded resort experience with excellent 4★ or entry-level 5★ options, fantastic facilities, plenty of included activities and watersports, and potentially very little additional spending once you arrive.

In Zanzibar, your money can stretch further on the hotel itself. We often recommend B&B or half board because so much of the experience happens outside the resort — from Stone Town and spice farms to dhow trips, quad biking, horse riding, sandbank picnics and incredible snorkelling.

In a nutshell:

🇲🇺 Mauritius = more included
🇹🇿 Zanzibar = more adventure

Same budget. Two completely different holidays.

Which gets your vote? 🇲🇺 or 🇹🇿

Zanzibar is beautiful. But the Zanzibar we love goes far beyond the view from your resort.

It’s the sound of Stone Town. A dhow moving across the water. Following the tide out further than you expected. Trying unfamiliar food. Passing through villages. Meeting local people. Finding places you didn’t know were on the itinerary.

It can be colourful, energetic, unpredictable and wonderfully imperfect.

That’s Zanzibar.

And when you stop expecting it to be somewhere else, you start discovering exactly why people fall in love with it.

We’ve been there. Let us show you the Zanzibar worth travelling for.

Zanzibar isn’t Mauritius. It isn’t the Maldives either. And we don’t think it should try to be.

Yes, come for the beautiful beaches and warm Indian Ocean, but don’t stop there. Leave the resort. Follow the tides. Explore the villages and Stone Town. Eat something you’ve never heard of. Speak to the people who call the island home and allow your plans to become a little unpredictable.

Zanzibar has character. It has culture. It has adventure. And sometimes, it has a few rough edges too. That authenticity is part of what makes travelling here so rewarding.

We know because we’ve actually been there — and we’ll help you experience Zanzibar for what it really is.

Trust us, you might come home completely hooked.
