Nature isn’t always pretty — but it is always fascinating. 🐾
Spotted hyenas are often misunderstood as simple scavengers, but they are actually highly successful predators and skilled hunters in their own right.
They have incredibly powerful jaws and a digestive system capable of processing skin, tendons and even bone — allowing very little of a carcass to go to waste.
Hyenas also live in complex social groups called clans, which are led by females. In fact, females are generally larger and more dominant than males.
Encounters like this are a reminder that nothing in the African bush is wasted. Every animal has an important role to play in the ecosystem.
This is Africa — raw, wild and unscripted.
