Many of you will have seen this photo or a similar one elsewhere online, but it didn't feel right not to have it here on my page. This elephant bull is nicknamed "Boswell" by Mana Pools regulars (after the Boswell Wilkie Circus in Southern Africa for obvious reasons). On this morning Marlon du Toit Photography and I were photographing him and his 2 younger bull cohorts on foot, photographing this unique behaviour in the midst of this ancient forest as the golden light flooded in. An unforgettable experience!
