Hippos Honk truly is a 5* gem - if you like accommodation that is luxurious, hotel quality bedding, everything you need in a kitchen, where when you walk in it feels like you are at home - this is the place. Attention to detail is amazing - WiFi signal perfect if you have to work while visiting. Easy walk to the fence overlooking the river and amazing viewing of elephants, waterbuck - even 4 lions. Definite return in the pipeline.

Hippos Honk truly is a 5* gem - if you like accommodation that is luxurious, hotel quality bedding, everything you need in a kitchen, where when you walk in it feels like you are at home - this is the place. Attention to details is amazing - WIFI signal perfect if you have to work while visiting.
Easy walk to the fence overlooking the river and amazing viewing of elephants, waterbuck - even 4 lion. Definite return in the pipeline.

What a special holiday! Lovely, modern home with great entertainment area. The nagaapies at night were a special treat and the open area around the house provided for a constant flow of animals. Highly recommended holiday home and extra friendly and helpful owners. Will happily return.

A true gem in Marloth. Hippos Honk really comfortably accommodates 6 people. Everything is really well thought out. The elevation of the seating area and pool make feeding the animals an easier and safer experience. It would be wrong not to comment that the bush babies are super cute! Highly recommend it and will be back myself!

Really enjoyed the stay. Hosts are extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. The home has all the necessities you can think of including solar and the home is well stocked with everything you might need. There is a big bouma area great for sitting around the fire with your glass of wine and chatting away. I will definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you to Derick and Marina for your hospitality.
