It is situated close to Cape Town and within easy reach of the West Coast. A trip through the historic hub of Malmesbury reveals the town through the eyes of a 19th-century visitor interspersed among early Cape buildings dating from about 1830 are structures from later periods, reflecting the rich and varied architectural development of the town over time. The town offers visitors all the modern amenities as well as sports facilities, mountain bike trails, hiking trails and a 9-hole golf course with a spectacular view of Table Mountain. Discover the true gift of nature in the region's award-winning Swartland wines, whilst enjoying a tantalising meal at one of the restaurants. Other towns in the Swartland include Darling, Yzerfontein, Moorreesburg, Koringberg, Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West.

If you’re wondering what makes the Swartland Olive Festival one of the most anticipated weekends on the calendar, here’s a clue…🫒😉

Think live music, live chef demonstrations, an artisanal market featuring 50+ vendors, kids’ entertainment and plenty of good times, all packed into one festival weekend🎶🙌

And that’s not all…the Friday Night Street Party brings , dancing and a long-table experience to kick things off, while Sunday brings the Springboks vs Australia at 12h00, screened live at the festival’s Fan Park, followed by live🏉🎶

So if you’re looking for a reason to head to Riebeek Kasteel, this might just be it😉
