Southern Kruger Weekly Guide Report
Entering via Phabeni Gate
Another beautiful winter week in the Southern Kruger, with chilly early mornings giving way to warm, clear afternoons. The dry winter bush continues to offer fantastic visibility and some wonderful wildlife encounters.
Sunday
A great start to the week with elephants, giraffe, zebra, and plenty of general game. Lions were also seen enjoying the warmth of the early morning sun.
Monday
Predator activity made for an exciting morning, with a beautiful leopard sighting stealing the show. Buffalo and elephant were also seen throughout the day.
Tuesday
A busy day in the bush with large elephant herds, kudu, wildebeest, and zebra keeping guests entertained. A group of hyenas provided another memorable encounter.
Wednesday
The cooler morning delivered fantastic game viewing, including rhino and buffalo. Guests also enjoyed plenty of giraffe and antelope against the golden winter landscape.
Thursday
Another exciting day with lions featuring prominently during the morning drive. Elephant bulls, zebra, and a wonderful variety of birdlife completed a rewarding safari.
Friday
A quieter start soon turned into an incredible day when a leopard was spotted moving through the bush. Elephant families and buffalo added to another fantastic day of sightings.
Saturday
Excellent general game throughout the day, with giraffe, zebra, kudu, elephant, and wildebeest all making appearances. The clear winter skies provided a spectacular sunset to finish the drive.
Sunday
A brilliant end to the week with excellent Big 5 viewing opportunities and plenty of activity throughout the park. Lions and elephants were among the highlights, rounding off another unforgettable week in the Southern Kruger.
