Southern Kruger Weekly Guide Report

As winter slowly starts making its way into the park, the mornings have become cooler with crisp air and light mist hanging over the bushveld. Wildlife activity has remained excellent, especially during the early morning and late afternoon drives.
Monday
A chilly start to the week brought fantastic predator activity early in the morning. Lions were active before sunrise while large elephant herds moved steadily through the area. Guests also enjoyed beautiful sunrise views through the winter mist.
Tuesday
Cooler temperatures kept animals active for longer periods throughout the day. Buffalo herds and plenty of antelope species were seen, while a relaxed leopard sighting during the afternoon drive made for a memorable safari experience.
Wednesday
Excellent general game viewing continued with rhino, giraffe, zebra, and elephant sightings throughout the day. The winter bush has started thinning out slightly, making wildlife easier to spot during drives.
Thursday
A very productive safari day with hyena activity around sunrise and lions seen resting later in the morning. Birdlife remained impressive, while clear winter skies created perfect photography conditions.
Friday
The cooler weather delivered steady game sightings all day long. Guests enjoyed watching elephants feeding peacefully while several kudu and wildebeest herds moved through the open bushveld areas.
Saturday
A beautiful winter morning in the park with golden light across the bush. Predator sightings kept guests entertained early on, while buffalo and rhino sightings rounded off another successful safari day.
Sunday
A calm but rewarding end to the week with excellent overall game viewing. The cooler evening temperatures and quiet winter atmosphere created the perfect final drive, with elephant, zebra, giraffe, and several predator sightings enjoyed throughout the day.
