Found in oceans around the world, nudibranchs are soft-bodied sea slugs famous for their stunning colors and intricate patterns. Despite their delicate appearance, many species are highly toxic or can absorb toxins from their prey as a defense against predators.

These fascinating creatures glide slowly along sandy and grassy seabeds, feeding on sponges, hydroids, and even jellyfish. Their vibrant colors often serve as a warning sign that they are not safe to eat.

Nudibranchs breathe through feathery gills and have horn-like structures called rhinophores that help them detect chemicals in the water.
