In 2007 I traveled to the US for the very first time. I was going to Alaska to climb Denali (McKinley". I had already been traveling a lot via England to Argentina, Nepal, Russia. But I had never had to wait for almost equal time as the Johannesburg to London Heathrow flight for the next connection. So I remembered landing at tbe crack of dawn in London. I was not stopping over this time. So like any other transit passenger I pushed my way hurrying to find the boarding gate. I took out the boarding pass to reconcile the time again. To my absolute shock and horror, my connection was 10 hrs away. Yes, that long. So I sat down and laboured around , yawning for the entire day, while watching every arriving passenger and every departing passenger.
Moral of the story (well, if there is any moral after all)
Is that this time again, it is exactly the same. The difference this time is when the throngs rushed about after landing, I just sobered and took a pole pole as if time was not moving anywhere.
Been at Heathrow nearly o hrs now. Having landed at 04:30 Uk time, which is even 2 hrs behind home, I will only board at 13:25 for a 14:25 Departure. 10 hrs, of layovers are never fun.
That is the joy of travel 🤣🤣.
Thank you for reading.
Please don't say (Good Luck).
There is no luck in this. It is normal routine ✌️✌️👌👌
