A new iteration of a much loved McGregor gem. Views for days and sunsets to live - not die - for.

Die Watermeul, a country inn: accommodation and meals. Open to tbe public for breakfast, lunch and dinner on selected days.

And for stoepsitting with friends.

Wishing chef Zanne and her team all the best for this new chapter.

We did breakfast and saw the sun over the yard arm:

Roosterbrood with aubergine, hummus and avocado. The perfect brunch to set one up for.the day.

An interesting twist on French toast with spinach and foccocia.

The really hearty full breakfast. Need I say more?

Lovely alfresco table setting. I love the antique and vintage charger plates.

No description necessary.

Ditto.

And, if you brunch, and it's Sunday. And it's afternoon, why not?

The bridge from Robertson to McGregor is open!

A bridge rebuilt. A community reconnected.

Today we celebrate more than the reopening of a bridge.

Following the devastating floods in May, countless people worked tirelessly to restore this vital link between Robertson and McGregor. Engineers, construction teams, municipal staff and everyone involved worked through challenging conditions to reconnect our communities.

On behalf of McGregor Tourism, thank you.

What a fabulous experience! The olive oil (and wine) tasting at Marbrin Olives at Wolvendrift. When you visit the Robertson Wine Valley, this should be on your must-do list.

Dynamic duo, Briony and Clive don't just take you through a tasting of oils, telling you about the processes, but they serve delectable seasonal accompaniments that make the olive oil sing and have a party in your mouth.

The drinks are simple, from a beer on tap and a cocktail made from Klue's muscadel to their Shiraz and/or Sauvignon Blanc.
