Meet Jade Duncan of JD Audiology who will be at the Mtunzini Medical Centre on Tuesdays.
Jade Duncan is a Clinical Audiologist and practice owner of JD Audiology. Born and raised in Eshowe, Jade brings more than 10 years of private-practice experience back to her home community.
Jade obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Pathology (Audiology) from UKZN, graduating at the top of her class and receiving the SASHLA Prize for Best Final Year Student. After completing her community service at Eshowe District Hospital, she built her career in Durban and Cape Town, gaining extensive experience across a wide range of audiological services.
With particular interests in paediatrics, implantable hearing solutions and audiological neuroscience, Jade has pursued advanced training in electrophysiological testing, central auditory processing, cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing solutions and dementia care.
At JD Audiology, hearing healthcare is about far more than an audiogram. Jade takes time to understand each patient’s hearing, lifestyle, communication challenges and personal goals before recommending appropriate care. Her approach is evidence-based, compassionate and centred on the individual, with collaboration with other healthcare professionals whenever needed.
