Another Stoep Tasting done and dusted! Dustcovers is so fortunate to share the space with the incredible team from Journey's End Wines again this year — truly fabulous humans. And the most DELICIOUS wines!
Last night’s dinner event was something special. Chef Clara brought the magic food, the lekker vibes, and made everyone feel right at home. Thea and Jeremy were a well-oiled wine-selling machine from start to finish, and we’re so grateful to them for being such an amazing team.
And a very big thank you to the best friends a bookshop could ask for — Lisa Libbrecht and Gouni-Mae Montgomery. None of this would have been possible without you both.
Tomorrow we open again, not for crowds, but to clean the shop, straighten the shelves, and give the space some much-deserved love for being the special place it is.
Now the village settles into its quiet wintery days, and we get to bask for a little while in the memories made, the conversations shared, and the friendships this year has brought.

What a wonderful weekend at Stoeptasting Sibling! We had the pleasure of hosting Kanu Wines and Dornier Wines, Stellenbosch, and the atmosphere throughout the bookshop was absolutely buzzing. From lively conversations to shared stories over glasses of exceptional wine, it was a weekend filled with warmth, flavour and great company.

Folklore Wine & Words was a particular highlight, bringing together wine lovers and book lovers in the best possible way. The cheese pairing alongside the beautiful Kanu Wines was also a great hit and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

And now, onward to the next exciting weekend! We’re delighted to be welcoming Journey's End Wines, who will be preparing a special evening meal on Friday night, followed by a delicious brunch on Saturday morning.

The Art of Pairing Stellekaya Wine & Cheeses takes place on 30 May at Zalig Ramstal in Nieu-Bethesda, with all proceeds going to Nieu-Bethesda Animal Welfare.

Funds raised help support the ongoing care, outreach and treatment work done for the animals in our community.
