I’ve been very quiet on social media this year but it’s only because we’ve been so busy 🌿

The weather has been wonderful and we’ve been blessed with high weekly & weekend occupancy this season.

We’ve made lots of new friends from around the world, who’ve all enjoyed our little piece of seaside heaven.

Once things slow down after Easter, I’ll hopefully have a little more time for taking photos 🤍

Never judge a book by its cover ☺️

I wish I could record our guests reactions as they enter The Mission’s House … the gasps, the ooos & aaahhhs of delightful surprise.

Regular comments include: “it’s so light & bright”, “it’s so cosy & warm”, “it’s much bigger than we thought” “it feels like home” “we love all the personal touches”

So if you are someone who likes comfortable, homely and relaxed kind of “old school” beach holidays … consider The Mission’s House 🌿

Yesterday there was a knock at the door, and there stood an elderly gentleman, Rudolf Clentch, holding out his portfolio with a request to paint The Mission’s House.

At 82 years young he supports himself & his wife by painting landmarks & homes on the road. We loved his story so much and were intrigued to see what he would produce. The passers by admired his work all morning.

Glenda has had many requests from people to paint our home over the years and we rather enjoy seeing the different styles and interpretations of each perspective. We now have our own collection of art, magnets & photos presented to us over the last 45 years.

We are very pleased with our latest addition that was completed within 3 hrs! We will have it framed once the paint dries and then post a final pic.
