🇿🇦🌳Celebrating 10 Years of Growth – In More Ways Than One
As we reflect on the past decade of hosting guests on our farm, we’re reminded that our story isn’t just about comfortable stays and good food – it’s also deeply rooted in the land itself.
🌳Over the past 10 years, we’ve planted over 50 olive trees and 7 pomegranate trees. These trees have become more than just part of the landscape – they carry deep biblical symbolism 🫒The olive tree, a symbol of peace, endurance, and anointing. The pomegranate, representing abundance, righteousness, and fruitfulness. Each season, as they bear fruit, we’re reminded of how life can flourish even in harsh conditions. We never sell any of these fruit. We simply give it away to guests and friends. We believe in sharing goodness and bringing joy to people by sharing what was given to us.
🌱Speaking of harsh conditions – our green lawns are a quiet but proud testimony to perseverance. During the 7-year drought that swept across the Karoo, we managed to keep our lawns alive with greywater, mulching, and stubborn care. Not just for ourselves, but for the little moments of joy they bring to tired travelers and happy kids.
🌳💦Here’s to more years of growing – gardens, trees, and stories worth sharing.
