South Africa has officially announced the introduction of its new digital nomad visa, inviting remote workers to live and work in the country.

As of March 29, 2024, the South African government has signed the digital nomad visa into law. However, there are still some uncertainties regarding the income requirement—whether it is net or gross—and the detailed application process.
