*WHITE WATER RIVER RAFTING/ZIP LINE COMBO*

It is a real privilege for me to introduce our new adventure combo package. It promises to be the best adrenaline filled experience of a lifetime.

*The Rafting Trip* is approximately 8.5 km's and takes 3 - 4 hours to complete with a swim and water break along the way with the nature, wild- and birdlife breathtaking. We conquer Big Daddy rapid, the biggest on the Vaal River system, Paradise, Jaws and Claws, Dogs Legs, V-Trap, Stepping Stones to name a few navigational challenges on our route.

When *Zip-Lining* you will enjoy a 4x4 trip up the mountain, escorted by our qualified guides. Depending on the size of the group this whole experience takes 1 – 2 hours. The Zip Line consists of 2 sets of 600 m cables, where you will fly through the air between speeds of 60-80 km/ph for a total of 1200 m!!!

Both these events take place in the beautiful Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site, near the popular towns of Parys and Potchefstroom. The river rafting venue is situated on the Koppieskraal road just outside Parys while Zip-lining is offered on the Potch/Venterskroon road with a distance of +/_ 15km between the two venues.

VAAL RIVER ALERT
This morning we put out a warning that the popular Vasl rafting route below Parys will be running at more than 1000cumecs according to the DWS graph online. By agreement some years ago between rafting operators belonging to the African Paddling Association APA the cut off for commercial rafting is 800 cumecs. In the past there have been drownings on this section at high water. Strainers (fallen trees and wooded islands under water) are particularly dangerous. We advise paddlers to avoid the river until it subsides below 800. For more on our warning visit
