We stumbled upon something really special in our forest! We spotted a pair of Bleating Camaropteras building a nest near the ground a few weeks ago, and now it’s officially occupied—complete with 3 little eggs!

Finding one of these is a real treat because they are absolute masters of disguise.

Interesting Facts:
- Tiny Tailors: The Camaropteras literally stitch living leaves together using spiderwebs as thread to hide their nest, lining the inside with soft grass and down.
- Small Bird, Big Voice: Weighing only around 11 grams, this tiny grey-and-green bird is unbelievably loud, dominating the surrounding thickets.
- Tag-Team Parents: Both parents work together to sew the nest, incubate the eggs, and raise the chicks.
- Style: They spend most of their time hopping through dense undergrowth near the ground with their short tails cocked up at a 45° angle.

We’ll be keeping a safe distance and watching these two raise their new family!
