Kookboek van bobaas Pniël-kok vier ware kontreikos | Eikestadnuus 📕

Pniëllers en besoekers van oor die wêreld heen is bekend met Alenor Pietersen se smaaklike tuisgebak en nou deel sy haar smullekker-resepte in ‘n splinternuwe kookboek.

Alenor’s Kookboek is op Vrydag 28 Augustus in die laaste dae van Vrouemaand bekendgestel by Alenor se restaurant en woning.

Die skep van die kookboek was nie sonder struikelblokke nie en die eerste weergawe van die boek is twee jaar gelede laat vaar nadat dié projek platgeval het. Daarna het Alenor vir nog twee jaar met ‘n nuwe span gewerk om ‘n nuwe kookboek te skep.

Community rallies behind Kylemore soup kitchen as seasonal hunger bites | SMF News

A donation drive run through Stellenbosch’s CoCreate Hub has delivered a fresh supply of staples to Siena Nutrition Centre in Kylemore, coming at a time when many local farm worker households are without income between seasons, according to Stellenbosch-based NGO, Feeding in Action.

The effort began after Siena Charles, who runs the centre, told Sonya Olivier, CoCreate Hub marketing manager, that expected funding for the soup kitchen had fallen through. In response, the Hub put out a call for support in the community through posters circulated online for Mandela month, according to Olivier.
