A good weekend to plan a get away to Bretton Beach Crest Holiday Cottages is the weekend of 28 - 30 August. Bathurst, a little country village just 15km inland is holding their annual Country Affair so come and enjoy all the festivities. There is so much on there that weekend :

THREE VALLEYS game farm. Their biggest fundraising run of the year is here, Running Wild at Three Valleys 30 August 2026 - 5k, 10km and 15km walk/run between the game and giraffe.
Run, walk, or cheer, every step helps protect our predators.

Some people are so lucky to have the beach at their doorstep. Our beach at Bretton Beach Crest is fabulous at the moment, so much sand building up making for a wide flat beach. Hope this glorious weather lasts for our long weekend guests.

What an amazing sand sculpture to be seen at Port Alfred's West Beach near the pier yesterday. Well done Mr Zungu. Hope it is still there today for more people to be able to view it. We noticed there are both white and black rhino portrayed. Thank you for bringing rhino poaching to people's attention. Will our grandchildren get to see a real live rhino living in the wild one day?

We saw the MS Sirena passenger ship sailing past today from Durban to Cape Town. Imagined them enjoying the day on board swimming in the pool and eating too much. While we also had a super day on the beach today, especially for the school holidays. Welcome to all the holiday makers and our 2 new guests. A huge thank you to the other 7 families for your continued support once again over all these years. Enjoy your stay at Bretton Beach.
