SAA will launch its first direct service between Cape Town and Mauritius on December 9.

The service will begin with three weekly flights, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight SA194 will depart Cape Town at 09h25 and arrive in Mauritius at 16h30. The return leg SA195 will depart Mauritius at 17h20 and arrive in Cape Town at 21h30.

A temporary adjustment will be made between mid-January and mid-March 2026, when the service will operate twice weekly, in line with seasonal demand.

Implementation of a Tourist Fee as from 1st October 2025:

To all Mauritius travellers, I wish to inform you that as part of the measures announced in the 2025-2026 National Budget to support the tourism sector, a Tourist Fee of EUR 3 per night will be introduced in Mauritius.

Effective from 1st October 2025, this fee will apply to every tourist staying in designated accommodation establishments, including hotels, guesthouses, tourist residences, and private estates.

Please note that children under 12 years of age will be exempt from this fee.

Collected monthly and remitted to the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA), the funds will support sustainable tourism initiatives and infrastructure upgrades across the island.
