The Boma is no longer part of The Plantation group, having been sold to Mariaan & Ruann Kruger. We wish them all the very best as they take over the reins!

A massive thanks to all our clients, staff and suppliers who have been part of The Boma journey with us over the past 20 years.

We will still be running all types of events at The Plantation and 39 on Church, and hope to see you at our other properties in the future.

Meet Boston Giddy: Operations & Events Coordinator

Boston ensures that our venue facilities are ship-shape and perfectly ready to bring your event dreams to life. She also hosts events as duty manager and is part of our event planning team liaising with clients before their big days.

A few fun facts about Boston:
What is your favourite colour: A super shocking hot pink 🩷

When you strut your stuff, what is your theme song: Girls just want to have fun by Cyndi Lauper

If you could have a secret snack stash at work, what would it be filled with and why: It would be filled with a variety of goodies but one worth mentioning is definitely the Just Knead More Bakery white glazed donuts because they are honestly the best donuts in PE 🍩 Just Knead More Bakery

If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why: Hands down a homemade pizza with ham, a garlicy herb fried onion and mushroom combination, sliced tomato and an unhealthy amount of cheddar and mozzarella cheese mix with feta on top made in a pizza oven. Why? Because it’s good, it makes me happy, and I’m hooked for life 🍕

What is your spirit animal and why: I think my spirit animal is a mother elephant. Have you ever just sat and watched a mother elephant? They are so graceful and, if you don’t threaten them, have this sense of calmness, kindness and true beauty. They are deeply emotional beings and once they’ve accepted you into their herd, you will be loved and protected unconditionally. Just like a mother elephant, I am fiercely overprotective of those in my life. I love very hard but for the people in my inner circle, I’ll fight even harder and so much more. There are too many trait similarities to mention 🐘🩶
