We are here to do business amongst friends — to learn, collaborate, enhance, strengthen, and grow relationships within our club, amongst members, and friends. Tuesday, 19 May, was no exception.

We gathered at the wonderful SANNCOB to connect, deliberate, and learn together. From the welcoming sherry to the homemade lasagne, everything was perfectly suited to the rainy weather and warm camaraderie.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Graham Taylor, for his engaging and thought-provoking presentation. He reminded us why competition, collaboration, and coordination are all critical factors in driving tourism growth. Perhaps the most important question he left us with was: are we truly ready for tourism growth?

Thank you as well to everyone who contributed to our monthly lucky draw. Through your generosity, we were able to donate R500 to our local SANNCOB branch.

🌍✨ SKÅL International connections, collaboration and continental tourism partnerships took centre stage during an incredible networking session hosted at the The Edward Hotel during Africa's Travel Indaba.

It was an honour for Skal International Nelson Mandela Bay to engage with fellow Skålleagues from Skal Mauritius and Skal Tanzania as we continue building stronger tourism relationships across Africa and the Indian Ocean region.

The evening also brought together representatives from Skal Pretoria, Skal Garden Route and Skal Cape Town, showcasing the strength of the SKÅL network across Southern Africa.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from Salome Clack, who shared exciting insights about the upcoming SKÅL International World Congress and the opportunities it presents for global tourism collaboration and connection.

Events like these remind us that tourism thrives through partnerships, shared experiences and meaningful connections. Together, we continue promoting sustainable tourism, friendship and business opportunities across borders.
