I've visited the Hartbeespoort Dam Wall countless times, and somehow, I never get tired of its beauty. From the iconic Hartbeespoort Triumphal Arch and breathtaking views of the dam to the cool breeze that makes the experience even better, there is always something to appreciate.

And the best part? It is completely free. Sometimes, the best experiences are right on your doorstep.

Celebrated my birthday the best way I know how: by exploring!

On my most recent travel adventure, I had a little “expectation vs reality” moment.

I travelled to Lesotho expecting to experience the highest restaurant in Africa from some high point overlooking grand mountain views, much like a rooftop bar or restaurant.

Well, well, well… was I wrong.

Although the Sky Restaurant at AfriSki is the highest restaurant in Africa, it isn’t necessarily located at the highest point of the resort. And honestly, that came as quite a surprise to me.

But hey, I still get to say I’ve been to the highest restaurant in Africa.

Expectation vs reality, but still a pretty cool travel experience.

Fun fact: Golden Gate is South Africa’s only national park dedicated to protecting the grassland biome. Its name comes from the golden glow cast by the sandstone cliffs at sunset.
