Could your next adventure have a little more purpose?

Our Mozambique Ocean Research & Marine Conservation Program is designed for people who want to experience the ocean differently — not simply as visitors, but by learning about the research and conservation taking place beneath the surface.

Spend 2–12 weeks in Mozambique learning alongside experienced marine researchers and gaining insight into work involving manta rays, seasonal humpback whales, sharks, reef fish and other marine species.

Every season is different, which means every experience is different too. Wildlife is wild, sightings can never be guaranteed, and research activities change with the conditions and priorities of the project — and that is part of what makes genuine field conservation so special.

You’ll have the opportunity to gain marine conservation knowledge, practical field experience, greater diving confidence, new perspectives and friendships with people who share your love of the ocean.

There are also three accommodation options, allowing you to choose the level of comfort and privacy that suits your experience.

This isn’t just an elephant trip.

It’s a chance to step into one of Africa’s most extraordinary desert landscapes and contribute to the conservation of Namibia’s free-roaming, desert-adapted elephants.

On the Namibia Desert Elephant Program, volunteers may help with elephant monitoring, conservation activities, practical field tasks and work that supports human-elephant coexistence — all while experiencing remote landscapes, campfire evenings and unforgettable desert skies.
