White Flag Mediations

White Flag Mediations White Flag alternative dispute resolution by mediation. Mediation provides an alternative to litigation. We are currently situated in Pretoria.

"He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye." ~ Buddha Family disputes are a sensitive and personal issue that should be resolved in a non-adversarial environment. Mediation can be described as an assisted negotiation where both parties voluntarily work towards a solution with the assistance of

impartial mediators. The parties do not work against each other unlike the scenario that you would frequently find in the case of litigation. The mediation process is, depending on the commitment of the parties, more cost effective and speedy as opposed to litigation. We specialize in the mediation of parenting plans, divorce settlements, maintenance issues concerning spouses and children and any issues regarding care, contact and guardianship of a minor child. Feel free to contact us should you require further information.

To the Parent Co-Parenting with a Narcissist

This isn’t co-parenting.
This is damage control.
This is survival.

You didn’t choose this version of “family.”
You didn’t plan for two homes, split holidays, or walking on eggshells around someone who rewrites reality to suit their story.
You didn’t sign up to raise a child alongside someone who plays the victim while you do the work.

But here you are—still standing.

You’ve learned to document everything.
To respond instead of react.
To stay calm while they provoke.
To protect your child from the emotional confusion of manipulation wrapped in fake affection.

You’ve had to teach your child to trust your consistency, while the other parent chips away at your name.
You’ve had to explain emotional safety in age-appropriate ways.
You’ve had to fight the guilt of not being able to give them peace in both homes.

And let’s be honest… it’s exhausting.

But listen closely:
You are not crazy.
You are not dramatic.
You are not bitter for recognizing abuse masked as parenting.

You are the safe parent.
You are the truth-teller, the cycle breaker, the one who is quietly teaching your child what love actually looks like.

It doesn’t always feel fair.
It doesn’t always feel like you’re winning.
But you are showing your child that even in the face of chaos, someone still shows up for them with calm, clarity, and love.

That matters more than you know.

So take a deep breath, document the nonsense, lean on the people who understand, and keep going.
You’re not co-parenting.
You’re shielding and shaping—at the same time.

And you’re doing it with a strength that deserves more recognition than it will ever receive.

"Our daughter Willow. You may never know how your love has changed us all. The guy to the left is me (Daddy, Daddy Dylan or Bonus Dad), in the middle is, of course, our Princess Willow and the guy to the right is David (Daddy, Daddy David or biological Dad).

No, we are not a same-sex couple, but we do share a daughter.

David is Sarah’s ex-husband and I am the Fiancé. We have moulded ourselves into one unique family, if only for the sake of our children to know the power of love. Not only did I gain a daughter, but I also gained a brother and a best friend. Thank you Sarah for letting this all happen!

When we care more about our children (on both sides of the party) than the way society has taught us to be towards (ex's/baby mommas/daddy's) then walls will fall, life will be free of hatred and remorse, and our children will conquer the foolish "norms" that media has shoved in our faces.

He stays at our home when he visits, because family is always welcome. He is not an outsider, he is and will always be a part of my life for the simple fact that we share the same daughter! Of course, not a single moment would be like this without Sarah (mommy) and her kind and generous heart! Willow Grace you are loved by so many people in this world and your Daddies love you!

This is NOT a photo shoot, Sarah is a photographer. This was taken before a daddy-daughter dance. David took her this year.

FYI David is SINGLE!"

Beautiful words by David Lenox.
