WORLD LION DAY 10 AUGUST 2018.

The wild Lion population is declining rapidly and according to studies done, it is estimated that there are far less than 30 000 free-roaming Lions left in Africa. Many factors contribute to this dramatic decline of African Lions including poaching, legal and illegal trade in Lion bones, loss of habitat, human-wildlife conflict, improper captive breeding, canned hunting, trophy hunting, inbreeding and diseases like Tuberculosis. If the decline continues at the present rate, there might be no more Lions left in the wild in our children or grandchildren’s lifetime.

WORLD RANGER DAY 31 JULY 2018.

A special thank you to all Rangers worldwide, past and present, for your huge effort in your work to help protect and conserve the Earth’s Fauna and Flora, natural resources, as well as cultural treasures.

To all Rangers in South Africa, some that we have had the privilege to work with and those of you that we still share experiences with, thank you for your immense effort in your work.

Thank you for the knowledge that you share with others and the determination and commitment that you show in protecting and conserving the Fauna and Flora in all the protected areas, parks and reserves of South Africa, for future generations. We applaud those of you that face danger every day, especially those of you that are dedicated to combat the scourge of poaching.

To all that read this, please take a moment and spare a thought for all the Rangers that were injured and especially those that gave their lives in the line of duty.

EARTH DAY 2018.

Sea shells are found naturally on our beaches, plastic is not.

Through plastic littering, we are destroying the earth, poisoning the oceans, our rivers and streams, threatening especially marine life, our birds and wildlife as well as our own lives.

We can all make an effort, let’s do our best to try and stop plastic pollution.
