Back in Dec '22, Jason & Candice had the most memorable stay at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa. When Jason popped the question then, the couple knew they would return to that same spot a year later with an intimate group of family & close friends to say their 'I do's'! 😍

Capetonian, Irma Clarence, never let the fact that she was a solo climber deter her from her goal of summitting Africa's highest peak! From the start of her planning in Jan '23 to standing at an extremely windy Uhuru Peak on Sun 06th Oct '23, Irma was resolute, and together with Guide Nechi Teti and his crew via the Marangu Route, she realized her dream! Congratulations on your achievement!!

After Monique & family's umpteenth visit to Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar over the Oct '23 school break, feedback like this always warms our hearts and we love sharing it with all of you!

" A quick note to say thanks again for arranging our family trip to Sandies Baobab in Zanzibar. It remains one of our favourite places to visit and the beauty of the country, resort & beach never gets old. The kids loved the pool area, volleyball in the evenings and the homemade ice cream 😊 As always, our room was spacious and cozy with plenty cupboard space for all of us. The resort have definitely made improvements to their Wi-Fi connectivity in the rooms which I really appreciated as I had to work (the teenagers also liked that they had access to their social lives back in SA via good internet connectivity). Food was great with a large variety of local & international dishes. The grounds were beautifully maintained at the resort and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. Weather in October was great, slightly cooler than March. Sunsets on Nungwi beach are still the most beautiful (especially when enjoyed with a drink in hand). We had a really wonderful time and as always, wish we did not have to leave! "

When Kubendri Govender firmed up her booking in Nov '22 for her climb of Kilimanjaro via a 7-day Machame Route end Sep '23, little did she know that come June, she would have a partner-in-climb in Alison Smith whose son's birthday celebration while she would be on the mountain also inspired her to commit to the challenge! In the months before their departure, these strangers became friends and despite hailing from different provinces, even managed to arrange a training hike together in preparation for their adventure. Head Guide Paul Nanyaro, assistant guide Godson, and the logistical team took excellent care of the climbers as they made their way slowly up the mountain. Kubendri claimed the altitude of 5 500m as her own personal high point, while Alison pressed on and stood on top of Africa on Thu 29 Sep '23! Congratulations on your achievement!

Our avid travellers, Monique & Keith, spent a magical week at Diamonds Thudufushi Maldives Resort & Spa mid-July and commented about their experience -

" Heaven on Earth 😊 The pictures actually do not capture the true beauty or the truly magical experience. Crystal clear waters, spacious Water Villa with a huge deck & steps that go into the ocean, amazing breakfast, lunch & dinner (the fresh fish was a real treat, seared tuna, tuna sashimi & a whole lot of other options). Loads of sea life - we saw turtles, rays, black tip reef sharks, star fish and more, all just from our deck. Snorkelling is truly special (considering they had the privilege to encounter a whale shark on one of their snorkelling excursions!!!)
This Hotel is very well managed & all the staff were fabulous. We were so sad to leave Thudufushi & wish we stayed for at least 10 days. Also, Pizzas at the beach bar area at 5PM every day was really good & so were the cocktails ;-)''

"Reef & Beach in Jambiani was a magical experience, leaving us with true Hakuna Matata feels - rest and relaxation at its best! The staff were tops, service with the biggest smiles and always there to help! The rooms were comfortable with ample facilities and the relief of the aircon from the humid/hot weather was winner... but again who goes to Zanzibar to stay in their rooms! The variety of food and drinks were endless...from everyday options, to country- themed buffets... to the extremely exotic, as well as amazingly authentic Swahili cuisine - we were overwhelmed and spoilt for choice with tasty, hearty, healthy meal options for breakfast, lunch, snack times and dinners! The 3 tours we booked were plenty for our 7 day stay, albeit we would have loved to make our way to a Spice Night market... Instead, we opted for a drive out to Paje which involved a taxi drop/collect (15min each way) and we just explored by ourselves, buying spices, souveniers and chatting with the locals... the full day tour out to Mnemba and Nungwi was such fun in the sun... and the Safari Blue Tour breathtaking and a definite MUST DO! Asante Sana (thank you so much) Rose... for all your support from start to end, without yourself and Dream World Adventures it would not have been possible!"

"Thank you for your excellent arrangements to make our Zanzibar trip a memorable experience.

The hotel, service and food was excellent. The weather and location of My Blue Hotel was the best and the snorkelling reef in front of the hotel was good too! The All-inclusive package was great value for money.

We will definitely go back to Zanzibar"
