Elephant Hunt – Part 5 | October 2024

Being a professional hunter is about more than just guiding clients on dangerous hunts—it’s about trust, meaningful connections, and a deep respect for nature. Every hunt tells a story, not just of the animal but of the people, the land, and the unforgettable moments along the way.

This hunt was truly special—an experience filled with teamwork, respect, and the raw beauty of the wild. It’s one I’ll carry with me for years to come.

Watch the video in my description to see the full journey—the people, the land, and the heart behind the hunt.

Elephant Hunt – Part 4 | October 2024

These photographs are more than just images—they hold stories. Stories of the locals who depend on the hunt, the skilled trackers who dedicate their lives to the bush, and the hunters who respect and understand the role of conservation.

One of the greatest privileges of being a Professional Hunter is spending time in the wild with people from all walks of life. Different cultures, different backgrounds, yet all connected by the land. These photos don’t just capture a hunt; they capture generosity, resilience, and the hard work that goes into ethical conservation.

At Horns Africa Safaris, we stand by three pillars: quality, passion, and experience—because hunting is more than just a profession, it’s a calling.

Elephant Hunt – Part 3 | October 2024

After 30 years as a professional hunter, there’s one place where I always find peace—the bush. The thrill of the hunt is a bonus, but more than that, it’s about witnessing God’s creation up close and experiencing it in its rawest form.

As I’ve mentioned before, conservation and dangerous game hunting carry a much deeper story than what mainstream media portrays. Conservation hunting isn’t just about the hunt—it’s about preserving ecosystems, managing wildlife populations, and supporting local communities that coexist with these animals. It’s a responsibility, a privilege, and something I will always fight to protect for generations to come.

Steve Irwin said it best:
"What good is a fast car, a big house, or a gold-plated dunny to me? Absolutely no good at all. I've been put on this planet to protect wildlife and wilderness areas, which in essence is going to help humanity… Every single cent I get goes into conservation. And guess what? I don't give a rip whose money it is, mate. I'll use it and spend it on buying land."

True conservation is about ensuring that future generations can stand where we stand today, hear the same roaring wildlife, and witness the same untamed beauty. If we don’t fight to protect it now, they may never get the chance.

Elephant Hunt – Part 1 | October 2024

Last October, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure deep in Botswana’s wild, 400,000-hectare bush. Surrounded by incredible people and breathtaking landscapes, we experienced both the beauty and harsh realities of nature.

Chobe faced its worst drought in over 60 years, leaving water sources dry and wildlife struggling to survive. With an overpopulation of elephants and almost no water, carcasses lay scattered across the land—a haunting reminder of nature’s unforgiving cycle. The ripple effects were devastating, impacting not just the elephants but the entire ecosystem.

This is where conservation hunting steps in. It’s not just about the hunt—it’s about protecting wildlife, balancing ecosystems, and supporting local villages that rely on sustainable practices to survive.

Stay tuned for Part 2 as we dive deeper into the role of ethical hunting in conservation.
