Phuthuma Nathi Investments (PNI) is a Black Empowerment Share scheme launched by MultiChoice in 2006 as part of its transformation strategy. The scheme owns 20% of MultiChoice South Africa Holdings (MCSA). Through Phuthuma Nathi, black investors hold shares in MCSA. At launch, shares in both schemes were offered at R10 per share, with no trading allowed for the first five years. During the first f
ive years of the schemes, MultiChoice declared ordinary and special dividends amounting to more than R2 billion. There are 120 000 black shareholders in Phuthuma Nathi 1 and 2 who come from all walks of life – ordinary individuals, professionals, stokvels and black owned companies. 4. One-liner comments that are negative, defamatory in nature or intended to incite hostility may be moderated.
5. Duplicate postings (to queries already answered or any efforts at spam) will be viewed as 'flooding' and will be deleted.
6. Users found to be falsely speaking on behalf of MultiChoice; Phuthuma Nathi; shareholders or representing themselves as a proxy will have their posts moderated. Any user found in regular violation of this rule will be banned from the page.
7. Responses to any posts or users that are guilty of violating the above rules, and that also violate them, will also be moderated accordingly.
