GOURITSMOND - The Gouritsmond Karavaanpark / Caravan Park is located at the entrance of the town and offers a tranquil and safe escape within the marvellous coastal town of Gouritsmond.

The park offers well maintained, grassed camping sites with electricity and clean communal ablution facilities. Some camping plots has communal braai areas and it is recommended that campers bring their own braai drums and grids.

STILBAAI - Kransfontein was established in 1833. The farm making up Kransfontein Estate were originally the farms Birdsong, Muffets and Milkwood. These farms were collected by the internationally acclaimed novelist Wilbur Smith over many years. Many of his earliest novels were written on the Estate. In 2000 the farms were purchased by the current owner. He enlarged the property by adding the farm Drie Heuwels to it in 2004. On these four farms, collectively known as Kransfontein, the olive trees were planted that produce the nationally acclaimed olive oil.

Kransfontein Estate is renowned for its award-winning olive oils and produce, overnight accommodation houses and beautiful wedding and function venue.

The six accommodation units accommodates a total of 26 guests.

The Boathouse is a cabin on the river bank, with a private jetty and access to the nearby foraging path, pecan nut grove, and picnic valley. This cottage comprises 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The Muffets is a free-standing 6 sleeper cottage with a large lawn. Surrounded by Fynbos and nearby access to the walking trail and the rock pool with its waterfall and braai area. The cottage offers two bedrooms.

Milkwood is a secluded 6 sleeper cottage is at the top of a large olive orchid and has nearby access to the scenic Broad path which connects the restaurant to the greater areas of the estate.

Fynbos is a 3 bedroom house surrounded by fynbos and access to the fountain and berg-braai hiking trail.

Uitsig, a bedroomed unit, is named for its view. It is located above the farm road and is a smaller family unit with a panoramic view of Kransfontein Estate and Riethuiskraal stud farm.

Kransfontein also offers a variety of venues available for any type function. From birthday parties, weddings, corporate functions, art exhibitions or ceremonies.

When booking any of our venues, the Kransfontein team can arrange for catering or outside. All the necessary cutlery and crockery and appliances are included for functions and events.

Kransfontein is truly a hidden gem located a mere 12-km outside of Stilbaai.

ALBERTINIA - Aloe Ferox is located a mere 2-km from the town entrance of Albertinia, along the popular and scenic N2 highway and specialize in aloe health and wellness products.

The facility is a popular feature on touring groups itineraries, as the facility offers a factory shop and nursery - making it a one-stop-shop for aloe items. The facility is also home to the XYLO Coffee.

Aloe Ferox is a leader in sustainable conservation, with several organic plantations being established, resulting in their individual aloes only being harvested once every 3 years. In 2016, Aloe Ferox also made a breakthrough by finding a way to extract juice from the white, flashy part of the leaf.

WITSAND - The Awesome A-frame is a spacious holiday house situated in the heart of Witsand a coastal town along the world-famous Garden Route.

The facility offers comfortable self-catering accommodation with awesome views over the Breede River, the Indian Ocean and the Witsand Nature Reserve. This house is an ideal option for a small family or group of friends seeking holiday accommodation in a safe village - popular for fishing, beach holidays and kitesurfing.

The house consists of 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom, which can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. The main bedroom is located on the ground floor and furnished with a double bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds -The stairs are quite steep - so not suitable for the elderly or infirm. The shared bathroom is fitted with a shower fixed over the bath, toilet, and washbasin.

The kitchen is open-plan to the living area and is equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, oven, gas hob, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The living area includes a dining table, a smart TV where guests can use their own login for Netflix, and comfortable couches. There is Wi-Fi throughout the house.
This area opens onto a balcony with outdoor seating and beautiful views. Secure parking and braai facilities in the garden are available to guests during their stay.

Between July and November, the Southern Right Whales migrate to the warmer water of the Garden Route and Overberg to calf and care for their young. As a result, Witsand is known as The Whale Nursery of South Africa and offers land-based Whale watching opportunities.

The Awesome A-frame is not just a regular overnight facility, it is a facility where precious holiday memories are made, with marvellous views of the Breede River.

DIBIKI MOUNTAIN BIKE CHALLENGE & TRAIL RUN - The annual Dibiki Mountain Bike Challenge and Trail Run, hosted by Jakhals Events takes place on Saturday, 20 June 2026 in Riversdale.

This event makes provision for a scenic Mountain Bike routes of 17-km, 44-km and 53-km. The 17-km route is regarded as an easier and scenic route, while the 44-km route is regarded as moderately challenging. The 53-km route is highly recommended for the experienced Mountain Biker as the route offers scenic bliss.

E-Bikers can also look forward to the scenic 52-km route.

Trail Runners can look forward to an equally scenic 17-km route, consisting of mostly gravel road.

Families with smaller children and pets can look forward to a rewarding 5-km Fun Run.

The event starts and finishes at Dibiki Riversdal which is renowned for its camping site and self-catering units and located a mere 200-m from the new Riversdale Pump Track for children under the age of 16.

JONGENSFONTEIN - The Jongensfontein Camping, Caravan & Self-Catering Resort is practically on the beachfront, with magnificent views of the Swimming Beach across the road.

The Jongensfontein coastline provides for all preferences - with sandy beaches, rocky shorelines, rock pools for small children to swim safely in and excellent fishing opportunities.

The Jongensfontein Camping & Caravan Resort offers 115 plots (6 guests per site) and 18 well equipped self-catering units within a well maintained and safe environment. Guests need to bring their own bed linen for the self-catering units.

The Camping & Caravan plots are ideal for the experienced traveller in search of long stay options. The self-catering units are the ideal family holiday option as the units comes standard with bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and braai area. The Jongensfontein self-catering units is a popular option for group bookings.

OAKDALE AKKERFEES - The popular Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale Akkerfees is taking place this weekend in Riversdale and the town is already bustling with visitors from afar.

Tonight, Friday 29 May 2026, the festival kicks off with the Akkerfees Dance & Auction at the Riversdale Showgrounds.

ALBERTINIA - Tuinplaas - Tiny Town offers you a world of your own – by escaping the ordinary and allowing you to find your “wow” moments.

The farm is located right next to the N2, just before the turn-off to Albertinia and is home to Tiny Town, a replica of a town made of ceramics.

Tuinplaas also sells a variety of ceramic garden ware and plants. The Tuinplaas venue offers a Coffee Shop which sells delicious meals and refreshments, which includes burgers, traditional breakfasts, pancakes and coffee.

The Milkshakes of Tuinplaas is legendary and the ideal treat for the kids.

The farm offers a relaxing atmosphere which provides that far away feeling. When wanting a spontaneous family experience or a tranquil break from your journey, Tuinplaas is the place to visit when travelling along the N2.
