I attended the Cape Town premiere of this movie which was as interesting and well made as thought provoking and emotional. It shows the though selection process how to become a wildlife ranger and the risks and sacrifices these men (and women!) take to protect the endangered animals in our parks against ruthless poachers. Super super informative and touching!!

Here again a post about fascinating Namibia.... Kanaan Desert Retreat is one of the most remote camps in the southern Namibia Desert and a photographers dream. Look at the pictures and you can imagine the silence and the soft light at dusk or dawn....... What a way to relax and unwind! It belongs to the Naankuse Ecotourism collection whose most known lodge, the Naankuse lodge, is in a nature and wildlife sanctuary half an hour outside Windhoek airport.

Dear safari aficinonados, here some pictures of the Ker& Downey camps in the Okavango Delta. K&D have currently only 4 beautifully appointed camps in prime locations in the delta and open up a 5th small camp in a private concession where no camp has been before next year. In some of the camps they even offer a sleep out on an open platform - we bet you have never experienced as many stars in your life......

Machangulo Beach Lodge is a laid back lovely lodge in the south of Mozambique, 1-1,5h boat transfer from Maputo. Mozambique beach lodges can be nicely combined with a safari in the Kruger National Park (3h road transfer). Just an idea for a beach & bush combo :-)
