A little reminder that some pretty incredible adventures are right on Imla’s doorstep. 🇱🇸

Snowy mountains, winding roads, skiing in Africa, views that make you stop the car… and donkeys still being used as everyday transport. 🫏❄️

Lesotho is wild, beautiful and completely unforgettable.

Definitely one for the bucket list when you visit Imla. 🤍

One of my favourite things about Imla is that every corner has a story. 🤍

These beautiful handmade carpets started more than 30 years ago, when my mother asked a group of women a very simple question: “What can you do?”

They knew how to weave.

That skill became an opportunity to earn an income from their own homes — using wool, creativity and designs inspired by their own lives and villages.

And all these years later, the work is still continuing.

For me, this is what empowerment should look like: not just helping for a moment, but helping someone build a skill that can keep creating opportunity for years to come.

That is such a big part of the heart behind Imla. 🤍

Some traditions are just too special to let go. ❤️

For us, Imla has always been about family coming together, but also about opening our doors to people we’ve never met before.

They may arrive as strangers, but so often they leave as friends. 🥹

That’s something we hope will always be part of Imla. 🌿
