Guide Fishing South Coast
So last night after all the sardine activity I decided to go for a throw. Was itching to try out the new Boss Braid Slick I had recently got.
Off we went in a howling 30km Easterly. The wind was pumping so hard that the car was swaying in the wind LOL but nothing was to deter me from my mission.
With nothing more than a dozen freshly caught sards which I gathered during the day for bait we arrived at one of our local points here.
The sea was flat and the spray from the very small swell was misting up everywhere. I decided to tie on my 13/0 Linux Power Plus hooks on my special trace. I just knew the fish were around after seeing all the action during the day. After tying two fresh sardines head to tail on my trace I flicked it into a nice little clear section between two sand churned banks. Well was I in for a surprise.
Even in the howling wind, I felt with the Boss Braid Slick the slight pickup and move forward. Couple seconds later came that unmistakable bite. I lifted my rod to set the hook. Off it took like a steam train. This braid is so sensitive I could feel the tail of the fish beating against the leader. It ran about 30 meters and then the fish did a 180 on me and I thought I was off. Wound like crazy so braid doesn't tangle on the ledges in front, halfway back the fish took off again. Screaming spool and all. But the dirty bu**er had other plans for me. Pulled me over a ledge, I could feel the braid grinding on the ledge. And Bang! Off. My Heart sank. No picture of my prize to be. No giant smile. Crestfallen I called it a night. To say that the Boss Braid Slick held up in tortured conditions is an understatement. This Teflon coated 8 strand Boss Braid fought way above its fighting class. Value for money. I really could not fault it at all. Will definitely be spooling this braid up again.
Cant wait to get out there again.
