Historic Simon's Town...last night we had Cherelle and her friends, as well as Claudia, friend of ours, joining us on the Ghostwalk. We started off with pranking Christopher on Jubilee Square and it went well, setting the scene for what was a great walk overall. Ending up in the burial grounds, a strange smell was picked up by someone in the group, in the Dutch section...this has happened before, strangely enough..I have no explanation why...

Simon's Town. The firing of the Historic, mid 1800's, 9" RML (Rifled Muzzle Loading) Gun will be taking place again this coming Saturday 27th April at noon at the Middle North Gun Battery, Simon's Town. This event is proudly hosted by the South African Naval Museum and the Cannon Association of South Africa. It's the only one of its kind in the world, still firing! One of only a handful of single shots fired every year to commemorate key historic events. Best get there around 11:15am, and listen to W/O1 (Ret) Harry Croome, proud curator of this beast, narrate the fascinating tale of it, in his own comical way. Middle North Gun Battery, Simon's Town.
