Couples Camino 2026
130 km, 5 couples, and a lifetime of memories!
On June 9th, the ten of us officially reached Muxia, marking the end of our incredible journey along the Camino Finisterre. But the truth is, this journey started long before we even set foot in Santiago.
For 12 weeks leading up to the hike, we connected over Google Meet, weekly Camino themed activities and daily fun "couples questions" preparing our hearts and gear for what was ahead. By the time we met "in real life," we already had a special bond.
Our Camino together was a life changing experience for us all. I will always treasure our meaningful morning sessions, the en-route sharing of stories and experiences, dining together in typical pilgrim "long table" style, meeting up for a cerveza or vino blanco con hielo (or a naughty café con coñac), the endless laughter—honestly, I haven't laughed this much in years!
So incredibly grateful for this unforgettable experience and the beautiful souls & new friends who shared it with Org Van Der Wath and me.
This was our third 'Couples Camino' and for sure not the last! In 2027 we will be doing the CAMINO FRANCÉS from Sarria - Santiago once again and in 2028.... the Via Francigena in ITALY!
