Across the river there is a four mile long sandy beach; the Goukou river itself is negotiable 15 or so km upstream – and the rocky coast other side of the harbour is famous for excellent surfing and angling! TO GET TO THE BEACH, YOU CROSS THE STREET! Directions: Take the Stilbaai turn off from the N2. 26km will bring you into Sti
lbaai. Turn right over the bridge and carry on with main road west for 6km. Pass the sports grounds turn left into Steyn street. Take the third right into Skuitpad road on the waters edge. (Map)
