I was born and grew up in the city of Cape Town, My Dad was an avid Rock and Surf Fisherman. So every weekend/holiday we have had from when I can remember we where taken with to the sea somewhere. On every December Holiday we rented a house in Wilderness up the East Coast of South Africa on the Garden Route. This was a Fishing heaven for my Dad, so from a very young age I was taken with on these R
ock and Surf fishing trips. At first I thought I was invited because my dad wanted to teach me something. So from a young age I was diving in rock pools to catch red crabs, octopus, abalone and red bait and this is where my love for the sea started and it just got stronger as the years have gone by. In Std 2 (now Gr 4) At Rondebosch Prep School a teacher gave me my first speargun and started me off on a relationship with the sport which still continues today. In 2013 after 25 years of running my business in the construction industry. I had the opportunity of buying into a Dive Center in Northern Mozambique on the island of Vamizi which is the third most Northern island in the Quirimbas Archipelago. We ran a very successful 5 star PADI Dive Center for 7 years until the unrest
In Northern Mozambique forced us to sell up and relocate back to SA.
2020 we relocated back to Struisbaai to our home we have had here for the last 15 years. So with my love for sea it was inevitable we would go into another business which would be SEA related.
