🦏 THREE WONDERFUL DAYS IN THE KAROO NATIONAL PARK 🦏
My husband and I have just spent three unforgettable days at Karoo National Park, and what a wonderful experience it was!
From the moment we entered the gates, the Karoo was already putting on a show for us. We hadn’t even gone far when we started spotting animals on both sides of the road! Needless to say, I couldn’t stop clicking away. 📸
And the best part? Every single photo was taken on my phone! My proper camera was sitting safely at home… completely unaware of all the action I was missing! 🤭📱
Our self-catering chalet was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, including extra blankets. But the air conditioner was definitely our best friend, as the evenings became wonderfully chilly and we needed to turn up the heating. 🥶
The weather was on our side, and one of my favourite little experiences was being able to walk around the campsite and spot the beautiful tortoises. 🐢 There is something so special about slowing down, listening to nature and simply taking in your surroundings.
Breakfast was included in our stay, and in the evenings we enjoyed dinner with the friendliest waiters. Of course, being in the Karoo, we simply had to try some Karoo game! 🥩
On our last morning, we decided to take an early morning game drive. I was secretly hoping and praying that we would see lions. 🦁 Unfortunately, the lions decided to keep their distance this time — but I certainly wasn’t disappointed!
We were lucky enough to see rhinos, which more than made up for it. 🦏🦏 What an incredible sight! Our guide, Melissa, was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and informative about the animals and the park, and she had an amazing eye for spotting things that completely escaped me. She would point out animals that I was looking straight past — including a jackal!
Three days went by far too quickly, but we came home with wonderful memories, a heart full of gratitude and a phone absolutely overflowing with photographs.

Sometimes you don't need a fancy camera to capture beautiful memories… just the right place, the right company and a phone that can keep up with you! ❤️
