RJ Tours brought history to life at the Klein Karoo Klassique 16th festival!

Our first stop? The very first Synagogue, build in the 1880s where we were greeted with a warm "Shalom" from the Jewish family, who shared how the Jewish community came to Oudtshoorn and build a life from nothing. - It was such a special moment.

We ended the walk at the beautiful Le Roux Town House which is also one our beautiful Ostrich Feather Palaces, where "Te Heerlik" treated guests to Klein Karoo preserves and tastings.

A perfect blend of culture, history and flavour.

RJ Tours took these two gentlemen on a Heritage Bike Tour in Oudtshoorn.

They were really curious to learn more about the historical buildings that our beautiful town has to offer. From the first building they were grasped by the beauty and the story that each building has to tell.

To quote one of them "I've only been in the CP Nel Museum once when I was still in school and now that I'm grown and seeing it again, learning about it again I understand it much better."

On this tour we also visited Beans About Coffee (Mothership) that use to be the Bank of Africa to have some of the best coffee Oudtshoorn has to offer.

The workshop handled on effective communication and different roles you find within an organization.

On Saturday RJ Tours took a volunteer from Buffelsdrift Game Lodge up the Swartberg Mountain for a hiking tour in the pass.

The volunteer is all the way from France and he was very impressed with the hiking trail and to quote him "everyone should do this when they are in Oudtshoorn". We met one of the friendly rangers from Cape Nature that shared a bit of his knowledge with us.

Earlier this month RJ Tours had a tourist all the way from the Netherlands on a tour.

He was part of a group that stayed at Kleinplaas Holiday Resort. The group was going to do some sightseeing in town, but plans changed. Kleinplaas phoned Roydin to ask if he would be willing to take the tourist up the Swartberg Mountain where he then did a down hill bike ride on the Swartberg Pass.

He truly enjoyed his experience. Afterwards we drove to Buffelsdrift Game Lodge for lunch and he decided to cycle back to town.

RJ Tours recently took a couple from Germany on a Heritage Walking Tour in Oudtshoorn. The couple was originally visiting our beautiful town to experience the Cango Caves and an Ostrich Farm, while they were driving past the gorgeous historical buildings it intrigued them.

When they arrived at Earthbound, which was their accommodation establishment they asked the lovely Ayla if there was any way they could find some information on these buildings and Ayla recommended RJ Tours to them.

We had such an amazing tour that led to Beans About Coffee (Old Bank of Africa) where they received even more information on that exact building from Johan Breunissen. After Beans About Coffee we continued our tour and ended off at NG Moedergemeente.
